Landscape Fabric – Staples (pins)

These are steel, U-shaped staples. They are 6″ long and are heavy duty 9 gauge commercial strength. You can use any type hammer to place these into the earth.

Recommendations:

In high traffic walking areas, they should be placed no farther than 3′ apart. If you are placing rock on top of the fabric, you will need less staples than if you are placing mulch or another wood product. You should place them along the edge of the fabric and then up through the middle of the fabric if  working with larger widths of fabric.

Recommended minimum number of staples with fabric sizes:

3′ x 100′ – 50-100 ct staples

3′ x 250′ – 150 ct staples

4′ x 100′ – 100 ct staples

4′ x 250′ – 150-200 ct staples

5′ x 250 – 200 ct staples

6′ x 250′ – 200-250 ct staples
