Strawberries & Cream Flagstone for Patios and Walkways

Strawberries & Cream is an irregular patio flagstone with red and cream tones. Its warm colors can stand out against grey or cream landscape rock and complement planted areas. Use it for a patio, walkway, garden path, or stepping-stone layout. The stones can also be stacked for decorative features, but they are not sold as retaining-wall stone.

Thickness and coverage

This is 2″ flagstone. Individual stones vary in thickness, generally from about 1.5″ to 2.5″, and their shapes and face sizes are irregular. A full pallet weighs approximately 2,000 lb (1 ton).

For planning, allow roughly 80–100 square feet per pallet for a layout with typical gaps. The amount of area one pallet covers depends on the stones selected, joint width, and how closely they are fitted. A patio with narrow joints may require more stone than an open stepping-stone layout. Give us your project measurements and desired layout if you would like help estimating pallets.

Buying Strawberries & Cream Flagstone

A full 2,000 lb pallet costs $380 and is available for pickup or delivery. If you only need a few stones, you can choose individual pieces from an opened pallet at our Landscape Center. We weigh your selections and sell them for $0.25 per pound; individual-piece purchases are pickup only. Check your vehicle’s payload capacity before picking up a larger amount.

Preparing and installing natural flagstone

Flagstone patios and walkways commonly need a properly prepared sub-base and leveling layer. Natural thickness variation means some stones need more material beneath them to create an even finished surface. When estimating our installation work, we generally allow about 20–25% more leveling-base material than we would for a product with uniform thickness. Preparation and base requirements depend on the site and the intended use.
