Twilight 3/4-inch gravel is a fully fractured, unwashed landscape rock with a medium-to-dark gray and blue-gray base. Depending on the quarry load, it may also contain tan, brown, red, orange and pink accents. The amount of each secondary color can change from day to day. Some loads have an even blend of gray, tan and red, while others appear predominantly gray.

This material contains rock up to approximately 3/4 inch, along with a variable amount of smaller rock and crusher fines. Therefore, we classify it as a 3/4-inch minus gravel. Some loads contain more small material than others.

The crusher fines can coat the rock and make a fresh delivery look lighter or whiter than expected. As the material settles and the surface dust washes away, more of the underlying colors may become visible. However, color proportions and the amount of fines will naturally vary between loads.

Twilight 3/4-inch gravel is a versatile size for residential and commercial landscape projects. Its fractured shape helps the material settle together better than naturally rounded rock.

Driveways and parking areas still require proper excavation, grading and a suitable compacted base. This decorative gravel should not replace the structural base required for the project.

Using Twilight Gravel for Paths

Installing Twilight 3/4-Inch Gravel

Install Twilight Gravel – 3/4″ Minus at a minimum depth of 2 inches. We recommend approximately 3 inches for better long-term coverage, especially in landscape beds and park strips. Actual coverage will depend on site conditions, compaction and the amount of smaller material in the load.
