Desperado Trail Gravel – 3/4″ Minus

Desperado Trail Gravel is an unwashed, crushed landscape rock with a natural blend of tan, cream and gray. Some loads also show rust and gold tones. The mix gives landscape beds, park strips and pathways a warm, varied appearance.

This is a 3/4″ minus product. It contains crushed stones measuring approximately 3/4″ and smaller, including fine particles from the crushing process. Those smaller pieces help fill spaces between the larger rock when you place and compact the material.

Because this gravel is unwashed, it may look dusty when delivered. The amount of fines can vary, and some may occur in pockets that are difficult to see during loading. Natural variations in color and particle mix are also normal.

Installing Desperado Trail Gravel

For decorative coverage, place the gravel at least 2″ deep. Clear and grade the area before installation so the finished surface follows the drainage and appearance you want. The amount of rock needed for a pathway or shed area depends on the ground conditions and how the area will be used. Ask us for help planning the preparation and depth for your project.

If you plan to compact the gravel, account for some settling as the smaller particles move between the larger stones. Check the finished depth after compaction when estimating material for an area that needs a particular grade.

The Rock N Yard Landscape Center offers this gravel for bulk pickup or delivery throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Delivery trucks need an accessible concrete or asphalt surface for the material drop.
