This is a screened, coarse sand that is perfect for leveling underneath pavers, stepping stones and flagstone. Washed sand is what paver manufacturers recommend for leveling. It helps prevent shifting and breakage of your expensive stone. It also promotes drainage. This sand is screened to 3/16 of an inch.
Side Notes:
If using under pavers or flagstone, it is usually best to have a base layer of fractured rock or road base. Then the sand will go on top of that for leveling.
**Please account for losing 1/2″ every 2″ placed with compaction. We don’t want you to be short!
